🖥️Terminal Management Tab Overview

How to assign new terminals, move terminals between stores and find any terminal on your account from the ValPay portal.

The Terminal Management page shows every terminal on your account, which store it's assigned to and its current status. You can assign and move terminals yourself here, so you don't need to contact us.

To get there, log in to the ValPay Portal and click Terminal Management in the left menu.

What you'll see on the page

Three summary cards sit across the top of the page. Total Fleet is the number of terminals on your account. Unassigned shows the terminals that are in inventory and ready to assign. Pending Activation shows the terminals that have been assigned but are still waiting on processor setup.

Underneath the cards is the terminal list. Each row shows the terminal model and ID, the store it's assigned to and its status. The Actions column has an Assign or Reassign button depending on where the terminal is.

Terminal statuses

Unassigned means the terminal is in your inventory and isn't linked to a store yet.

Pending Activation means the terminal has been assigned and is being configured with the processor. You don't need to do anything, it'll update once setup is finished.

Assigned means the terminal is linked to a store and ready to go.

Assigning a new terminal

When a terminal arrives, it'll show up in the list as Unassigned.

  1. Find the terminal in the list. You can search by its terminal ID or serial number to find it quickly.

  2. Click Assign on that row.

  3. Choose the store from the Target Store dropdown and click Next Step.

  4. Check the terminal and store details on the confirmation screen, then confirm.

You can also click Assign Terminal in the top right corner of the page. This takes you through the same steps but you'll pick the terminal first.

Only active, onboarded stores show up in the store list. If the store you need is missing, it might not be fully onboarded yet, so check its status before you assign.

Moving a terminal to a different store

  1. Find the terminal in the list.

  2. Click Reassign on that row.

  3. Choose the new store from the Target Store dropdown and click Next Step.

  4. Check the details on the confirmation screen, then confirm.

If you picked the wrong terminal, click Change at the top of the store screen to swap it without starting over.

Finding a terminal

Use the search bar under Filters to look up a terminal by terminal ID, serial number or model. You can narrow the list with the Status and Store filters too, for example to see everything that's still Unassigned or every terminal at one location. Click Reset Filters to clear them.
