Before you create your first live Pay by Link payment link, you must add your Terms and Conditions to the Adyen-hosted payment page. Consumer law and scheme regulations require merchants to inform shoppers of the terms that apply to their purchase.
Add your Terms and Conditions URL
To add a Terms and Conditions URL, you need one of the following user roles:
Merchant admin
Pay by Link Settings
Log in to your live Customer Area.
Go to Pay by Link > Settings.
In the Terms and conditions URL field, enter the URL to your terms.
Select Save.
The Adyen-hosted payment page now shows a link to your terms.
What your Terms and Conditions must include
General terms
A description of the product or service you sell.
How payments happen — for example, instantly or as part of a subscription.
Any third parties involved in providing the product or service.
The legal entity responsible for payment processing (the legal entity of the merchant account you use when creating the payment link).
The governing law that applies between you and your customers.
Privacy policy
What data you store.
What data you share with third parties.
Your cookie policy.
Delivery information
How long it takes the shopper to receive the product or service.
Which countries or regions you deliver to, if applicable.
Refund and cancellation policy
Whether the shopper can get their money back.
How they can return the product or cancel the service.
The process for doing so.
Contact information
Shoppers must be able to reach you. Your contact details must include:
Legal entity name
Email address
Phone number
